Lapscheure
This village on the Dutch border, with Sluis as its neighbour, has a remarkable creek district. The dykes testify silently to the industrious reclamation of polders. The Blue Sluice from 1746, at The Lapscheure "Hole", is an example of industrial archaelogy. The Trinity Church deserves a visit. On the Damme canal a small, hand operated ferry connects Hoeke with Lapscheure.
