Oostkerke

 

The white polder village with the flat church tower lies in quiet countryside. In about 1250 the port of Monnikerede developed from Oostkerke. The water from the diversion canals used to stream through siphons under the Damme Canal to the sea. The castle partly dates back to the 14th century. The mill was built in 1874.
